Thanks again for trusting Garden State Exterior Cleaning! We take pride in our work and want you to know exactly what to expect when we arrive — from start to finish, and everything in between.
⏰ Arrival & Setup
- You’ll get a reminder the day before and a rough time frame.
- Our crew will park in the street directly in front of your property (or in the driveway if needed).
- We’ll do a quick walk-around to inspect the property and hook up to your water supply.
- We’ll tape off all exterior electrical outlets and boxes to protect them from water intrusion.
👉 You can safely remove the tape after everything has dried — typically later that day.
🧽 Cleaning Process
- Most surfaces are cleaned using low pressure (soft washing) — not blasting with high PSI. This allows us to safely clean siding, soffits, gutters, windows, and trim with minimal risk of damage.
- We reserve higher pressure for concrete, pavers, and other hard surfaces only.
- Our cleaning mix includes biodegradable surfactants and a professional-grade sodium hypochlorite (bleach) solution to remove organic growth and staining.
⚠️ Important Cleaning Limitations
We want to be upfront — we’re pressure washers, not magicians. While we can remove a lot, some stains and discoloration are permanent or require other specialty services. Here’s what might not come out fully:
- Tiger striping on gutters: Caused by electrostatic bonding — this is often baked into the aluminum and may not fully disappear without detailed gutter whitening.
- Oxidation on siding: A chalky, faded look caused by sun damage. Cleaning may improve the appearance, but it won’t restore original color or sheen.
- Rust stains: Often require specialty products and sometimes can’t be removed completely.
- Oil stains on concrete: We can reduce them, but full removal is rare — oil penetrates deep.
- Paint spills, deck overspray, etc.: Paint is not organic — these may not budge with soft washing.
- Mulch stains on siding/fences: These are often tough, especially from dyed mulch.
- Roof moss & lichen: After a roof wash, moss and lichen will not fall off immediately. It dies on contact and naturally breaks down over the next 4–8 weeks.
🚷 During and After Cleaning
- Please limit walking around the home during service, especially children and pets.
- If you need to exit or enter, we’ll happily rinse a path for you.
- Surfaces may appear darker while wet — final results show best after once things dry.
🧼 Damage Prevention
Your home is in good hands. We:
- Use low pressure to clean siding, soffits, windows, and more.
- Avoid blasting anything fragile.
- Rinse all sensitive areas thoroughly.
- Have cleaned thousands of homes with no issues — but if you ever notice something after we leave, just reach out. We stand behind our work.
📩 After Service
- Once we finish, we’ll do a final walk-through and send a completion text or email.
- If you have any concerns or notice something once it dries, we’re always happy to come back and take another look.
